She Couldn't Decide So She Wore Them All

This should really be titled “He Couldn’t Decide So She Wore Them All.” I started looking at old paintings for some costume references and there were just so many amazing costumes that I just kept adding more and more pieces from them. If you are an art history fan like I am you might recognize Frida Kahlo’s bird necklace, Degas dancer’s tutu, the dress from Klimt’s the Kiss, and many more.

Tower Guard Two
It was really hard to stop working on this painting because it was so much fun.

Hatching Humpty

The relationship between these two I find interesting. The Dodo is following it’s instincts and trying to hatch the egg it’s sitting on. It feels that it needs to help the egg reach its potential. Humpty, who I certainly think does not want to hatch, is already who he is; doing what it is he does. He is sitting on his wall and we all know whats going to come next. Will he take the Dodo with him when he falls? Is the Dodo so committed he will take the great fall or will there be a frank discussion between the two before the inevitable falling apart (pun intended).

Bartleby the Scrivener - print of the week

I like dragon mythology in all its forms and I love playing with the idea of a dragon culture that is closer to our own. He is writing things down, perhaps counting his gold, and the figures are small enough that he needs to wear his monocle. He is focused but not stressed; an ideal book keeper.
