The Snow Queen

from 30.00

The longest of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales is The Snow Queen which is what the Disney animated movie Frozen is very loosely based on. In the original tale the Snow Queen kidnaps a little boy named Kai and takes him back to her ice palace in the far north where she will keep him unless he can form the word she has told him using pieces of ice. If he can do that not only is he free from her power but he gets a pair of ice skates so she is not all bad! Andersen does write that she is made of ice - shining and glittering ice.
